OEM Software Guide: Asian Manufacturers (Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Hyundai/Kia/Genesis) | Ape Auto Tools

Decoding the OEM Software Landscape: Asian Manufacturers
A practical reference for Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai/Kia/Genesis software. What it is, where to access it, what it costs, and which VCIs actually work.
Why This Guide Exists
There is a lot of confusion and not enough clarity when it comes to OEM software. Every manufacturer has its own portals, subscription types, tools, and requirements. Shops everywhere are asking the same questions. What do I need for service information? What about diagnostics? What is required for programming? Which VCI will actually work?
The information exists, but it is scattered across dozens of OEM sites and usually buried behind pages of menus, PDFs, and support articles. We wanted to cut through that and create a single resource the community can rely on.
For each OEM, we break down:
- What the software is and what it is used for
- Where to access it (official portals and links)
- What it costs (day, month, and annual pricing)
- Which VCIs work, and any ADAS, calibration, or programming notes you should know
