Which Autel ADAS System Is Right for Your Shop

Picking the right Autel ADAS calibration system depends on three things: how you work today, where you work, and how much of the calibration and alignment workflow you want to keep in-house. The MA600, IA700, IA900, and IA1000 are all built to calibrate ADAS systems, but each is shaped for a different kind of shop.

This page is a side-by-side guide to help you pick. If you'd rather watch, we recorded a full walkthrough series covering each system below.

Quick Comparison

System Best For ADAS Calibration Wheel Alignment Portability
MA600 Mobile calibration businesses Yes, All Systems coverage No Highly mobile, smallest footprint
IA700 Multi-bay or multi-location shops Yes, All Systems coverage Pre alignment check Modular
IA900 Collision and full-service shops wanting one system for both Yes, All Systems coverage Yes, full 4-wheel alignment Fixed shop, casters for bay-to-bay movement
IA1000 High-volume shops wanting full alignment workflow Yes, All Systems Yes, full 4-wheel alignment Fixed shop, casters for bay-to-bay movement

MA600: For Mobile Calibration Shops

The MA600 is Autel's mobile-first ADAS calibration frame. It is built for technicians who travel between job sites, body shops, dealerships, or fleet yards, and need to set up a calibration bay anywhere there is enough floor space.

If your business model is mobile service, or if you are launching ADAS calibration as an add-on service that travels to your customers, the MA600 is the cleanest fit. It does not handle wheel alignment.

IA700: For Shops That Need to Move

The IA700 is the most modular and portable option.

The big advantage is the smaller footprint. It breaks down into 5 pieces, so it is easier to store, move around the shop, or bring to different locations if needed.

The All Systems target package covers LDW, AVM, ACC, BSD, LIDAR, NVS, and RCW, and the IA700 also includes a wheel alignment pre-check feature so techs can verify alignment condition without an alignment lift.

It is a strong fit if you want ADAS calibration capability but do not want a large fixed setup taking up space.

IA900: For Full-Service Shops Doing Both

The IA900 is the best middle ground for most shops.

It gives you ADAS calibration plus full four-wheel alignment in one system. That matters because proper alignment is often part of doing ADAS correctly, and having both workflows in-house makes the shop more capable.

At a price point comparable to a traditional alignment machine, the IA900 is a strong value for full-service shops. Pre and post scans are built into every job.

In my opinion, this is usually the best value if you want a serious in-house ADAS setup without going all the way to the highest-end system.

IA1000: The Premium Workflow-Efficiency Option

The IA1000 is the premium workflow-efficiency option.

The biggest advantages are automation, repeatability, and ease of training. It has a lower learning curve, so it is easier to get technicians comfortable with the process. It also helps reduce setup time and technician error, which matters if you expect to do calibrations regularly.

Available in multiple configurations, including All Systems with physical or digital targets.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all four systems calibrate the same vehicles?

All four cover the major ADAS systems (LDW, AVM, ACC, BSD, LIDAR, NVS, RCW) when paired with the All Systems target package and a compatible Autel tablet. Vehicle and model-year coverage is driven by tablet software, not by the frame.

Which systems include wheel alignment?

The IA900 and IA1000 include full wheel alignment. The IA700 includes a wheel alignment pre-check feature but not a complete alignment workflow. The MA600 does not include wheel alignment.

Do I need to buy a separate tablet?

Some packages include the tablet (typically MaxiSYS MS909S2 or MaxiSYS Ultra) and some do not. The no-tablet versions are for shops that already own a compatible Autel tablet such as the MS909, MS919, MS Ultra, MS909S2, or Ultra S2.

How much bay space do I need?

All four systems are designed to operate in a minimal amount of space and are valid for all ADAS systems. The MA600 has the smallest footprint for mobile setups. The IA700 is modular and works in flexible layouts. The IA900 and IA1000 work in a standard fixed bay.

Can I move between systems later?

Yes. Many of the target sets and accessories are shared across systems, so a shop that starts with the MA600 and grows into an IA700 or IA900 keeps using familiar components.
